This song has been floating around for a couple years now, but yesterday, Tom Verlaine passed away. He was the amazing guitarist for the amazing band Television, whose album Marquee Moon partially inspired the lyrics for this song. I'd like to dedicate this song to Tom, as well as his bandmates in one of the greatest bands in rock 'n' roll history. May he rest in peace, and may others continue to be inspired by his awe-striking work.
